Diwali Celebration 2018 - Distributed Warm Clothes Among Poor Child
– November 03, 2018
This is one of the Hindu festivals that is celebrated all around India. This festival is also known as the festival of light. The festival is usually celebrated during the Kartika month (between mid-October to mid-November) of the Hindi calendar.
This year Diwali was celebrated on November 3, when winter starts getting harsh. For this festival, people buy new clothes to woo Maa Lakshmi.
So SUCA decided to donate warm clothes. We donated warm clothes to poor children in the slum area of clement town. We donated it to around 100 children between the ages of 3 and 18.
The illuminators of this event were Navdeep Steel and Furniture and Shaheed Sandeep Singh Rawat Memorial Samiti. Gifting our friends and families is something we do whole our lives but giving to the ones less privileged is a blessing.
Our society will grow when we will help each other grow. “Giving is not just about donating. It’s about making a difference.” – Kathy Calvin
You might not make a difference in the world, but it will make a difference in the world of the receiver.
