Swachh Bharat - Swachta Hi Sewa Hai

– October 02, 2014

To achieve universal sanitation coverage and to focus on sanitation and hygiene, the government of India introduced Swachh Bharat Mission on October 2, 2014.

We need to keep ourselves and our surroundings clean. This not only helps us to keep our environment clean but also prevents us from getting sick frequently.

We at SUCA, to commemorate and aware people of sanitation and hygiene, took up the task to clean around Pooja Vihar, Majra, Dehradun, on October 3, 2018.

The funding for Swachhta hi Sewa hai was provided by Navdeep Steel and Furnitures and Shaheed Sandeep Singh Rawat Memorial Samiti.

Our surroundings affect our whole well-being, if our surrounding is clean and hygienic, we have positive thoughts and energy and our body feels healthy but if our surroundings are unhygienic and smell like litter, it will affect us negatively. Cleanliness and hygienic surrounding itself are signs of no poverty. This is important to create a sustainable life for everyone.

Benjamin Disraeli said, “Cleanliness and order are not matters of instinct; they are matters of education, and like most great things, you must cultivate a taste for them.”
